Macon- Charles Edward "Ed" Smith, 61, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Services will be private. The family will greet friends on Saturday, March 26, 2011 from noon until 1:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Mr. Smith was predeceased by his mother, Ellen Whitehurst Baskett and his father, Charles Henry Smith.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Judy Smith; daughter, Tiffany Nation (Will); son, Shaun Smith; step-daughters, Donna Winther and Michelle Adams; step-son, Richard Fowler (Kristine); sisters, Juanita Mullis, Carolyn Causey, Lynn Davis and Darlene Allen; two grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren.
