Cary Lee Page, Jr., 87, passed away September 7, 2018, at Carlyle Place in Macon, Georgia.

Mr. Page was born August 17,1931, in Greensboro, North Carolina and was the son of the late Cary Lee Page and Martha Elizabeth Moore. Mr. Page is survived by his 4 children, Cary Lee Page, III of Falls Church, Virginia, Frank Callison Page and wife, Rebecca, of Richmond, Virginia, Mary Agnes Page Reynolds and husband, Cannon, of Atlanta, Georgia, Martha Page Roddenberry and husband, David, of Macon, Georgia; 6 grandchildren, Rachel Moore Page, Braxton Cary Page, Charles Alfred Reynolds, Margaret Callison Reynolds, Harvey Lee Roddenberry and James Seaborn Roddenberry. He is also survived by his brother, Alfred Moore Page and wife, Sallie, of Tryon, North Carolina and sister, Martha Page Merrill and husband, Barry, of Gulfstream, Florida.

Mr. Page served honorably in the United States Marine Corp and was a combat veteran of the Korean War. After the war, he attended Wofford College in the late 1950’s. In the 1960’s, Mr. Page began his career in the textile business and started a family in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He worked for 30 years in the textile industry, between J.P. Stevens in New York City and as President of Jackson Mills in Welford, South Carolina. Mr. Page retired in 1983 to establish C.L. Page Enterprises, which he ran until 2014. Mr. Page was a generous philanthropist in Spartanburg County, who served the community throughout his career. He also served as Chairman of the Alfred Moore Foundation until 2006.

Mr. Page was married twice. He lived in Spartanburg with the late Agnes Callison Page Carstarphen and later, in Landrum, South Carolina with the late Lynn Cecil Page. Mr. Page loved spending time with his family and friends on the beaches of South Carolina.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the nurses, doctors and staff at Carlyle Place in Macon for their care and support of Mr. Page over the last four years.

A funeral service will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross,150 Melrose Avenue, Tryon, North Carolina, Monday, September 24th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, P.O. Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
