Carolyn Prickette Pyles

Carolyn Prickette Pyles entered the Kingdom of God on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Macon Memorial Park, with The Reverend Don Clarke officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Buddy Hoffman Foundation, 1400 Dogwood Road, Snellville, Georgia 30078. While employed at McKesson and Robbins, Carolyn met fellow employee, Robert William Pyles, and they were married in 1953. Family and church were their priorities. They were charter members of Shurlington Methodist Church and later attended Riverside United Methodist Church. Carolyn loved having guests in her home and hosted Christian Women's Club, bridge groups, and church youth groups. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and her three sons: Robert Craig Pyles, Douglas Alton Pyles, and Michael Keith Pyles. Carolyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Pyles Miller and Rick Miller; grandchildren: Brandon Pyles (Charity), Meredith Miller Owens (Travis), Kathleen Miller, Augusta Pyles, and Justin Pyles; seven great-grandchildren; sisters: Helen Prickette Cannon and Nell Gilbert; and eight nieces and nephews.
