Macon- Carolyn Scoby Obranovich, 88, of Macon died Sunday, January 2, 2011 following an extended illness. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with the Reverend Tommy Martin officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. The family may be contacted at the residence of Hines and Bettie Causey, 2028 Vineville Avenue and will greet friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 149, Macon, Georgia 31202 or to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204. Carolyn was born in Macon, Georgia on May 1, 1922 to the late Arthur Leven Causey and the late Flossie Sauls Causey. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, John E. Scoby in 1969, her son, Gary Lynn Scoby on December 6, 2008, her daughter, Delene Carolyn Sheddy on May 20, 2009 and her second husband, William Obranovich on February 7, 2010. Carolyn graduated from A. L. Miller High School and retired from the Department of Interior. Carolyn is survived by her loving brother, Hines V. Causey (Bettie); nephews, Vann, Chris (Tanya) and Scott (Windy) Causey; five grandchildren, six great-nieces and great-nephews and two cousins.
