Carolyn Hanes Garnto

Carolyn Hanes Garnto, 90, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. A celebration of her life will be at 11:00AM on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Daniel Stubbs officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the Cupola. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Fort Valley at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seamark Ranch Children's Home, PO Box 24032, Jacksonville, Florida 32241-4032. Mrs. Garnto was born in Hall County to the late Carl Jackson Hanes, and the late Lucy Mae Hanes. She retired after 37 years with AT&T, formerly Southern Bell, as a Macon Traffic Manager. Mrs. Garnto was a long time resident of Fort Valley and a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Valley. She enjoyed living at John Wesley Villas for the past 9 years. Mrs. Garnto was predeceased by her husband, George H. Garnto. Survivors include her children, Margie Garnto of Macon, and Carleen G. Haney (Lance) of Jacksonville, Florida.
