Carol Mary Seigel, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in Macon, Georgia.
Daughter of the late Henry Wotanowski and Marie Sokolowski Wotanowski, Carol was born August 21, 1944, and grew up in Jersey City before graduating from St. Mary's High School in 1962. She participated in her father's printing business until its sale. In 1997, in a quest for proximity to her sons, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and later moved to Savannah, Georgia, in 2021.
Nothing brought Carol more joy than the tranquility of the ocean and losing herself in a good book. She was also a devoted member of Peter's the Apostle Catholic Church in Savannah for over 20 years, demonstrating her strong faith and commitment to spiritual growth.
Carol was an individual whose presence enriched the life of her family and community. Her enduring love of family, caring nature, and commitment to faith will continue to inspire those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Scott Seigel (Terri) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Doug Seigel (Patty) of Savannah, Georgia, and Rodd Seigel of Athens, Georgia; grandsons, Josh Seigel (Ashley) of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Clayton Seigel (Mary Grace) of Warner Robins, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Preston and Myles Seigel; siblings, Thomas Wotanowski (Sandy) and Diane Murray (Thomas), both of New Jersey.
