Carol Todd Groover, 71, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. Reverend James Duke will be officiating. Visitation will be prior to the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Hart's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Vineville United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army. Carol was born in Byron, Georgia to the late James A. Todd and Ruth C. Todd. She was a 1962 Graduate of Perry High School. She worked at Groover and Childs, in Macon, as a legal secretary and paralegal until 1985. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixteen years, Mr. Denmark Groover, Jr. and her stepson Michael Groover. She was an active member of Vineville United Methodist Church where she attended the Mack Anthony Sunday School Class and served as Treasurer of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Salvation Army. Her favorite pastimes included Georgia politics, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Her life was marked by serving others and helping those in need. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Deena Walton of Perry; her grandchildren, Will Walton, Ben Walton, McKinley Walton, Pearce Groover, and Noah Groover, her brother James Clark Todd, Jr. (Glenda), her stepchildren Denny Groover, Terry Groover, Shannon Stroobandt, Heather Fernandez, and Duke Groover.
