Carol Ann Bauer

Roberta-Carol Faust Bauer, 63, died Monday, May 23, 2011. Memorial services will be 11:00AM on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Roberta United Methodist Church with the Reverend Nita M. Crump officiating. Burial will be private in Arlington Cemetery. Visitation will be between 6:00-8:00PM on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Family can be contacted at 175 High Point Road, Roberta, Georgia. Mrs. Bauer was born in Antigo, Wisconsin and was the daughter of the late Edward Peter Faust and the late Grace Murphy Faust. She was a member of Roberta United Methodist Church. She was a licensed Professional Counselor with the Georgia State Department of Juvenile Justice. She was also a certified massage therapist. Mrs. Bauer was a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Fort Valley State University with a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling. Crocheting and reading were her passion and she was a great dessert chef. Survivors include her husband, Garry Hammontree of Roberta, Georgia; sons, Bret Bauer of Virginia, and Peter Hammontree of Roberta; daughters, Beth Witten of Auburn, Alabama, Sandi Lynch of Opelika, Alabama, and Jennifyr Hammontree of Atlanta; six grandchildren; brothers, Ed Faust of Lavonia, Georgia, and David Faust of Lawton, Oklahoma; and sisters, Debra Lee LeSueur of Tallahassee, Florida, and Mary Barrett of Young Harris, Georgia.
