Carlton Etheridge Mullis

Macon, Ga. - Carlton Etheridge Mullis, 93, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Macon Memorial Park with the Reverend Rex Odom officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. Mr. Mullis was born in Cadwell, Georgia on April 6, 1916 to the late Julius and Minnie Lee Mullis. He attended schools in Cadwell, Georgia. He was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church. He owned his own business Mullis Auto Sales from 1947- 1980. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 3 and the Tampens Home Mission. Memorials may be given to Jones/Wilkinson Gideon Camp, P.O. Box 95 Gray GA 31032 or Hospice Care Options, 1125 Walnut Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. He was predeceased by his wife, Adeline Lavender Mullis; brothers, Bobby L. Mullis and James J. Mullis. Mr. Mullis is survived by his daughter, Myra Paul of Macon; son, Carlton Shelton Mullis (Juadeen), Gordon; grandchildren, W.R. Paul, Jr., Carlton Jonathon Mullis, and Melissa Raiford; great-grandchild, Dorsey and Elliott Raiford and Kasi and Lindsey Paul; several nieces and nephews.
