Carlton Harris Diers

Macon-Carlton Harris Diers of 4373 Houston Avenue, died Thursday, May 27, 2010. Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 5:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Diers was an avid sports fan. He worked for Bill Whittington in the service business on Forsyth road and also worked for Goodwill Industries for many years. He was fondly known as the "Mayor" of Forsyth Road. Mr. Diers is survived by his brother, Bruce R. Diers, Jr. of Marietta GA; his two nephews, Zachery Diers and Wesley Diers; sister-in-law, Pam Diers of Marietta GA; stepmother, Bobbie M. Diers of Macon; aunt, Mary Ruth Harris of Macon; and two cousins, Paul Harris of Macon and Lane Harris of Savannah.
