Carlo Emilio

Carlo Emilio, Jr., 85, passed away Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Christ Episcopal Church, 582 Walnut Street, Macon, GA 31201, with the Reverend Harriette Simmons officiating. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015, from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock at Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31210. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church or Mount de Sales Academy, 851 Orange Street, Macon, GA 31201. Mr. Emilio was predeceased by his parents, Carlo Emilio, Sr. and Marie Evans Emilio, and his sons Dennis Scott Emilio and Derek Alan Emilio. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church where he was baptized, confirmed, and married. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base. He was a Mason, a Shriner, a woodworker, and an avid beekeeper. Mr. Emilio is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Hazel Crosby Emilio of Macon; daughter Debra Emilio Wisdom (Michael) of Macon; son Darryl Emilio of Dublin; nine grandchildren, Marie Brown of Roswell, Melissa Brown of Macon, Melanie Brown of Macon, Matthew Emilio of Macon, Michelle Emilio Welch (Dustin) of Macon, Dakota Emilio of Marietta, John Emilio of Atlanta, Jennifer Smyth (Bryan) of Delaware, Jeremy Wisdom of Locust Grove; five great grandchildren; and lifelong friend Robert Potter of McDonough.
