Carl Thomas Green

November 2, 1939 — January 11, 2014

Carl Thomas Green, 74 of Haddock, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014. Mr. Green, a native of Akron Ohio, relocated to Jones County forty years ago. Family will greet friends Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Harts Mortuary, Cherry Street from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Born in Akron Ohio he was the son of the late Carl Green and Iris Otley. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Aldridge, and daughter Virginia Lucas. Mr. Green played college football for Ohio State and proudly served in the Marines. He later transferred to the United States Air Force where he continued playing football and went on to retire with a degree in electrical engineering. He later in life retired from The National Guard and started enjoying numerous hobbies. Above all, he was best known for being a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Green spent years donating to many charities. A few of his personal favorites were: The Paralyzed Veterans, The Diabetes Foundation and Parkinson's Foundation. His memory will forever be cherished and greatly missed by his five children, Christopher Thomas Green (Tiffany), Michael Thomas Green, Curt Thomas Green, Cynthia Baughcum Fincher (Donnie), and Carol Chapman (Lee) and James Michael Baughcum, all of Gray, Georgia. He is also survived by many grand and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Paralyzed Veterans Association, Diabetes Foundation, and The Parkinson's Foundation Hart's Mortuary and Crematory on Cherry Street, Macon has charge of arrangements.
