Carl Grayson Crowe, Jr.

Carl Grayson Crowe, Jr., of Macon, Georgia, passed away at age 72 on July 7, 2025, following an extended illness, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love.

Born in Lawton, Oklahoma (Ft. Sill), and raised in a military family, with parents, Lt. Col. Carl G. Crowe and Jeannette Crowe. Carl spent his childhood in Germany, Puerto Rico, and finished school in the Chicago area. His career led him into the vision medical device industry as an Optical Tooling Engineer in Midland, Michigan, Atlanta, Georgia, Chicago, Illinois, and Jacksonville Florida. Upon retirement the family relocated to Macon, Georgia.

Carl was known as a problem solver and for his commitment to work and family, his deep sense of integrity, and his quiet strength. Carl was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He touched the lives of many through his work, his generosity, and his ability to make others feel seen and valued. Whether enjoying motorcycle riding or repairing, model race car collecting, and computer gaming, Carl made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He loved animals all his life and particularly the ones he adopted. He is survived by Bart, Bella, Katana, and Curious. Peaches, Elliot, Einstein, Chewy, Mouser, Georgia, and Hobbes have met him at the Rainbow Bridge.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Jeanne Stevens-Crowe; brothers, John Douglas Crowe and Gerard David Crowe; sister, Mary Ann Crowe; brother-in-law, Paul Ganzenmuller; nephew, Keith Ganzenmuller; and step-daughter, Kirstin Key. He is survived by loving family members and friends who will cherish his memory and honor his life through the values he exemplified.

A memorial service to celebrate Carl's life and legacy will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Hart’s Mortuary Funeral Home, 765 Cherry Street, Macon GA 31201.
