Carl Eugene “Bubba” Kitchens, 73 of Jones County, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Bradley Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Johnson officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at the Kitchens Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Georgia Masonic Home, 1417 Nottingham Drive, Macon, GA 31211.
Bubba was born in Macon to the late William and Mazie Kitchens. He graduated in 1967 from Dudley Hughes High School. He was a member of Bradley Baptist Church and Masonic Sincerity Lodge #430 where he was past master. Bubba was the former owner of W.O. Kitchens Trucking, Inc. and 4 A Ride To Remember Limousine Service. He drove a school bus for the Jones County School System for 15 years. Currently he was the maintenance mechanic for the Jones County EMA. Bubba is predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Betty Ann Toulson Kitchens; brother William “Bill” Kitchens; and sister, Sherry Keenum.
Bubba is survived by his three daughters, Martha Kitchens Williams (Chad) of Gray, Mazie Kitchens Skinner (Chad) of Eatonton, and Mary Ann Kitchens of Jones County; four grandchildren, Camryn Williams, Cloe Skinner, Triston Skinner, and Coby Skinner; great granddaughter, Rylynn; two sisters, Joyce Kitchens Coulter (Bobby) of Jones County, and Sharon Kitchens Petrillo of Crisfield, MD; brother-in-law, Tom Keenum of Warner Robins; and several nieces and nephews.
