C. Lynne Mattox

C. Lynne Mattox, 57, of Macon, passed away Monday, September 22, 2020.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Hart’s Chapel on Cherry Street with the Reverend Craig Holmes officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service.

Lynne was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Shirley Nolia Lee Grimes. She worked with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office for almost 20 years. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, going to flea markets, cooking, and making jewelry.

Lynne is survived by her husband George L. Mattox of Macon; children, Bryan Mattox (Emily) of Byron, Georgia, and Daniel A. Mattox (Crystal) of Macon; grandchildren, Isaac Nye, Abigail Mattox, and Adelyn Mattox; and brothers, Donald Clemons of Macon, Edward Thaxton (Leslie) of Augusta, Georgia and Clarence Clemons of Oak Hill, Ohio.
