Byung Wook Yun

Macon, Ga - Byung Yun, age 78, passed away on July 6, 2014 after an extended illness. Byung was born April 14, 1936 in Inchon, South Korea, the eldest son of Ok Bong and Tae Soon Yun. Byung served in the Korean military from 1961-1963. He immigrated to the United States of America in 1974 and initially settled in South Carolina before moving to Georgia and eventually making his family's home in Macon. Byung was a skilled craftsman and mechanic and eventually became a business owner. He felt strongly about his family and worked hard to support them. He loved going to church and visiting family and friends. Byung is survived by his wife of 49 years, Soon Yun, two children; Song Yun of Atlanta, and Bo Parrott of Macon, and five grandchildren; Alexander Yun, Theodore Yun, Lauren Parrott, Julia Parrott, and Audrey Parrott; and five siblings, elder sister, Jeom Suk Kim of Macon; brother, Young Bok Yun of Charleston, South Carolina; sister, Jeom Soon Yun of Milledgeville; sister, Jeom Ja "C.C." Browne of Jacksonville, Florida; and brother, Young Su Yun of Macon. Visitation will be at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola Sunday evening, July 13, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00PM. Funeral services will be at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola Monday, July, 14, 2014 at 10:00AM with the interment immediately after at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
