Bruce Alan Templeman

Bruce Alan Templeman died on January 9, 2017, following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Robert Bruce and Catherine Helen (Sabo) Templeman. Born in Newark, New Jersey on February 8, 1941, he grew up in the Summit and Nutley area and later moved with his family to Florida. Bruce was a graduate of Jacksonville University where he received his bachelor's degree. After graduation, he attended Officers Candidate School and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. He served his country in the Vietnam War as an officer in the United States Air Force. Upon concluding his military service, Bruce was honorably discharged as a Captain. Bruce spent his career as an Industrial Engineer for Goodyear and worked at the Fayetteville, North Carolina plant for thirty-two years. Upon retirement, he and his wife Jane retired to Macon, Georgia to be closer to family. Bruce was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend. He and Jane were happily married for over fifty years. He had a deep love for working outdoors, gardening, and spending leisure time at the ocean in St. Augustine and traveling to the New England area with his family. Bruce is survived by his wife, Jane Lynn Templeman; their son, The Rev. Mark Alan Templeman, his wife Jennifer; and three grandchildren, Graham, Andrew and David of Swampscott, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his brother, Neil and his wife Peggy Templeman of Macon, Georgia; and their daughter, Andrea Templeman and her husband in Jacksonville, Florida. Funeral services will be held at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or Pine Point Hospice in Macon. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
