Bruce Eugene Bryant, 63, of Macon, Georgia passed away, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his home. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, April 19 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210, with the Reverend Creede Hinshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Stratford Academy, 6010 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31220, American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284, or the charity of one's choice. Bruce was born June 16, 1949 in Dublin, Georgia, and grew up in Macon, Georgia. He attended Lanier High School in Macon, Georgia where he was a member of the Phi Omega Beta fraternity. He graduated from Mercer University. Bruce was the co-owner and president of Macon Beverage Company. He was a member of Idle Hour Country Club, on the Board of Directors of Bank South, and an active member and often ushered at Mulberry Methodist Church. Bruce was a lover of life and enjoyed doing everything with his three children, whether it be traveling, cooking out, or going to the movies. He loved playing golf and being outdoors. Bruce is survived by his three loving children, Austin Bryant of San Francisco, California, Gena Bryant of Atlanta, Georgia, and Leslie Bryant of Atlanta, Georgia; his wife, Judy Hodgens Bryant of Macon, Georgia; his step children, Pierson Hodgens and Lauren-Summers Hodgens Gramm; his sister, Christy Gantley and husband, Chris Gantley of Paris, Kentucky, his brother, Rick Bryant and wife, Valerie Bryant of Albany, Georgia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
