Brett Wilson Lowe

May 25, 1964 — October 28, 2018

Brett Wilson Lowe, 54, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church (86 Mt Vernon Hwy) at 11 AM with Rev. Thomas Martin and Rev. Olin Holly officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM at Highview Cemetery in Gray, Georgia. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary in Sandy Springs and following the graveside service at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.

Brett, a proud “Rambling Wreck,” received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology and was employed by TSA, Inc., where he worked as a Consulting Solution Architect. Always intrigued by math, science, and space travel, Brett was a well-balanced geek who also loved reading and traveling to our nation’s beautiful national parks. Brett was a lifetime Eagle Scout, most recently serving as Committee Chairman of the Boy Scouts Troop #463 in Sandy Springs. Brett was an avid blood donor since high school, and was sustained at the end of his own life by the blood and plasma donations of others.

Those that knew Brett loved him, describing him as “genuine” and “friendly” and as someone who “always offered to help.” His greatest love, though, were his children and his family, who will miss him more than mere words can ever capture.

Brett is survived by his daughter, Paige Cambria Lowe of Sandy Springs, Georgia; son, Ian Wilson Lowe of Sandy Springs; parents, June and Chester “Chet” A. Lowe, Jr. of Warner Robins, Georgia; and two sisters, Lizabeth Lowe Mellon (Todd) of National Harbor, Maryland and Leslie Lowe Brown (Chris) of Macon, Georgia; and niece and nephews: Reilly and Wilson Brown of Macon, Georgia; Andrew Mellon of Jupiter, Florida; Patrick Mellon of California, Maryland; and Nicholas Mellon of Woodbridge, Virginia.

Please visit www.hartsmort.com to sign the online guest registry.

Hart’s Mortuary, Downtown Macon, has charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that, for those who are able, donate blood to the American Red Cross.
