Macon-Bonnie R. Gardiner passed away June 20, 2012 at Pine Pointe Hospice. She was born in Macon on March 27, 1950 to John and Martha Richardson of Macon.
She attended A.L. Miller High School and graduated from Peach County High School. She had a degree in medical technology and attended Fort Valley State College where she studied in the veterinary assisting program. She worked with her husband at Greenwood Farm Veterinary Clinic for many years. She was a member of Martha Bowman Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Dr. George A. Gardiner; and sons, Michael (Gloria) Gardiner and Dr. Jason (Laura) Gardiner of Macon; three grandchildren, Connor, Daniel, and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sister, Sylvia (Bill) Stapleton of Bolingbroke; and sister-in-laws, Allee (Bill) Hollis and Roberta Robinson of Macon.
Bonnie will be remembered for her laughter, her wit, her compassion for others, her love of animals and most of all for her deep faith and love of the Lord.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 6:00-8:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Services will be at Martha Bowman United Methodist Church with the Reverend Anthony McPhail officiating on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 2:00PM with a private burial following at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Martha Bowman United Methodist Church, 500 Bass Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
