Blossom Craft Burgamy, 83, of 1817 Waverland Circle, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 1, 2012. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:30AM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street with Dr. Marcus Tripp officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 10:30AM until 11:30AM at the funeral home. Mrs. Burgamy was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Furman University where she received a BA degree with a major in voice and of Columbia University where she received a MA degree with a major in music. She studied voice at Julliard and performed as an opera singer in New York. Mrs. Burgamy taught music in Bibb County schools for more than twenty-seven years. She served as a Regent of the Mary Hammond Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Burgamy is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Gustafson of St. Petersburg, Florida; son, William R. Burgamy (Jo Etta) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; grandchildren, Dawn LeBouef (AJ), Nicky Gustafson, Ashley Burgamy, Shannon Wright and Brandon Zapata; four great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Fisher Craft, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia.
