Born on July 20, 1960, in Macon, Georgia, to Billy Wayne Brooks, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Mercer Brooks. Billy lived a life marked by faith, service, and unwavering devotion. He was a godly man, and his family was first and foremost in his life. He is a founding member of Covenant Life Cathedral Church, served faithfully as a board member, most recently as the Vice President of the Board of Directors. He also proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a hardworking man who dedicated countless hours throughout his retail management career over the years to provide for his family and most recently retired 2 years ago. Known for his selflessness, he would do anything for anyone. A true country boy at heart, he loved wearing his overalls, driving his John Deere tractor, and spending time outdoors—whether hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature.
Above all, Billy loved his family deeply. He devoted his life to God and to those he loved, and his presence will be profoundly missed.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Jean Smoot Brooks; his children, Kristen LeAnne Brooks and Billy Wayne Brooks III (Lindsay); and bonus son, Jordan Norville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, MaKayla Malcom, Kyndall Malcom, Dana Norville, and Brinley Jeanette Brooks; and his brother, Jessie Judson Brooks, Sr. He was preceded in death by two of his siblings, Mary Jeanette Brooks and James Michael Franklin Brooks, Sr.
