Billy Oliver Bagwell, Sr.

William “Billy” Oliver Bagwell, Sr., 79, of Juliette passed away May 23, 2021. A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Ingleside Baptist Church with the Reverend Mark Hudgins officiating. The family may be contacted at the residence of Bunky and Angela Bagwell at 126 Virginia Lane, Gray, GA 31032.

Billy was born December 27, 1941 to the late Oliver and Helen Bagwell. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Bagwell; two sons, William “Bunky” Bagwell, Jr. (Angela); and Britt Bagwell (Brittany); brother, Don Bagwell (BJ); grandchildren, Leven Sears, Gracie Bagwell, Mattie Bagwell, Will Bagwell, Tyler Bagwell, Gavin Whitfield, Garrett Whitfield, and Camille Whitfield; one great grandson, Brady Bagwell; and many nieces and nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Joyce Sears.

Billy was the Police Chief of Gray, Georgia from 2001-2006. He and his wife have been owners of Payne Mill Antiques, for the last twenty-eight years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Scottish Rite or a Children’s hospital of choice.
