Billie Joyce Cole Parrish

Billie Joyce Cole Parrish passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, November 24, 2018. She was the youngest of five sisters born to the late James Wesley Cole and late Linnie Lee Meeks Cole of Nichols, GA (Coffee County).

On April 16, 1949, she married her beloved husband of 66 years, the late Reverend Walter Guy Parrish, Jr. Mrs. Parrish is survived by their two sons, James Walter Parrish, Sr. (Nancy) and William "Bill" Guy Parrish (Pam); two grandsons, James Walter Parrish, Jr., and William Cole Parrish; one great grandson, Alexander Morgan Parrish; and a number of dear nieces and nephews.

On Thursday, November 29th at 11:00 a.m., a memorial service for Mrs. Parrish will be held at Monroe First United Methodist Church, 400 South Broad Street, Monroe, GA 30655. The Reverend Doctor Dane Wagner will officiate, and the Reverend Josef Buffalo will direct the music. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Extra Special People (ESP), 189 VFW Drive, Watkinsville, GA 30677; the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Ave. (P.O. Box 2525) Macon, GA 31204; or Monroe First United Methodist Church.
