Macon- Betty Ann Jones Windham Kitchens, 82, of Macon, passed away Thursday November 25, 2010. Funeral services will be held Sunday November 28, 2010, at 2:00PM, in the sanctuary at Highland Hills Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Dant officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday November 27, 2010, from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice. The family may be contacted at 1350 Briarcliff Road in Macon. Mrs. Kitchens was the daughter of the late Clarence G. "Boots" and Essie Byrd Jones. She was predeceased by her first husband, William R. "Red" Windham, Sr. Mrs. Kitchens was a graduate of Miller High School, a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church and was retired from Southern Bell with 28 years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Macon Moose Lodge, Women of the Moose, and was a noted seamstress. Mrs. Kitchens is survived by her husband, Hubert O. Kitchens; Children, William. R. "Bob" (Diane) Windham of Watkinsville, GA and Carla (Kelly) Hillis of Perry; Grandchildren, Daniel Windham of Boulder, CO, Melissa Windham of Athens, GA, Clancey Windham of Athens, GA, Emily Windham of Athens, GA, Matthew (Mallory) Hillis of Memphis, TN and Becky Hillis of Perry, GA; Stepchildren, Karen Kitchens of Macon, GA, Gina Lu (Joe) Appling of Macon, GA and Duane Kitchens of Lake Sinclair; Step grandchildren, Southerly Appling of Macon, GA, Patrick Kitchens of Lake Sinclair, Mackenzie Kitchens of Milledgeville, GA; Great step grandchild, Taylor Appling of Macon, GA; Sisters, Mary Jane (Joe) Boland of Macon, GA and Elsie (Coleman) Reese of Alpharetta, GA.
