Betty S. Grimes

Betty S. Grimes, 80, of Byron, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024.  Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Centerville on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Don Freezor officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private.

Betty was born on September 19, 1943, in Athens, Georgia, to the late John and Marion Spratlin.  She was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and the McKibben Lane PTA Council Treasurer.  She assisted with the Children’s Choir at Ingleside Baptist Church and helped with the teen ministry.  Betty loved to use her voice to sing in the Adult Choir.  She was proud to make a joyful noise unto the Lord as it says in Psalms.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Stacy Brown Siegle (JJ) of Byron, Georgia; granddaughters, Katelyn Ashley Brown Siegle, Morgan Ashley Siegle, both of Byron, Georgia, and Julia Marie Siegle of Pfinztal, Germany. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Grimes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society in honor of Ms. Betty Grimes.
