Betty Green

Betty Green, of Macon, died Saturday, January 29, 2011. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Macon Memorial Park with the Reverend Len Strozier officiating. The family may be contacted at 120 Rivoli Woods Drive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 277 MLK Jr, Blvd # 201, Macon, GA 31201 or New Heights Baptist Church 158 Lamar Road, Macon, GA 31220.

Mrs. Green was a member of New Heights Baptist Church, the former Cherokee Heights Baptist Church. She was a Southern Bell Telephone operator, worked at the Naval Ordnance Plant and was a devoted mother and housewife who was loved so much. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Green is survived by her husband of 53 years, Herb Green of Macon; three children, Bonnie Johnson(Mike) of Macon, Tim Green of Forsyth, and Nancy Green of Macon; and four grandchildren, Pamela Johnson Skinner (Stephen) of Avera, Georgia, Phillip Johnson of Macon, Sophia Green of Macon, and Audrey Green of Macon.
