Betty Jones Gillis

Betty Jones Gillis, 81, longtime resident of Macon, died in Richmond, Kentucky December 18, 2012. Services will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Chuck Beaver officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 3:30PM until 5:30PM and on Sunday from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at the funeral home. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Lee Gillis. Mrs. Gillis is survived by her children, Charles Lamar Gillis of Magnolia, North Carolina, Beverly Diane Rowden of Richmond, Kentucky and Vernon Earl Gillis of Waverly Hall, Georgia; Brother, Patrick H. Jones of Madison, MS; Sister, Patricia A. Wood of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Melissa Horne, Kara Bowden, Jason Rowden, Amy Carlson and Kevin Gillis; eight great-grandchildren.
