Betty Jo Giddings

Betty Jo Giddings, of Macon, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at Wheeler Heights Baptist Church. The Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. Burial will follow at 3:30PM in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wheeler Heights Baptists Church. Mrs. Giddings was born October 30, 1939, in Ellijay, GA. She was retired from YKK after 22 years of service and was a member of Wheeler Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Giddings was an excellent cook and was known for having a green thumb. She loved her family, friends, gardening, her church and her church family. Mrs. Giddings was preceded in death by her parents, George and Thelma Patterson. She was also preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Becky Thompson. Survivors: Husband, Jack Giddings; Daughter, Melissa (Frank) Williamson; Son, Richard (Stephanie) Johnson; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and her dog, Coco.
