Betty “Marie” Fountain Bledsoe

Betty “Marie” Fountain Bledsoe, 61, of Lizella, GA, passed away, Sunday, January 1, 2023.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Lighthouse Community Church, Byron, Georgia with Pastor Ricky Tidwell officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

Marie attended Southwest High School.  She worked at Kroger for 10 years and most recently at Dollar General.  Marie loved her family, was a hard worker, and loved to read.  She would go out of her way to help anyone.  She was a very selfless person.

Marie is survived by her husband of 20 years, David Bledsoe of Lizella; sons, Kevin Hawkins of Lizella, and Chad Fowler (Kristen) of Byron, Georgia; and mother, Teresa Christine Fountain.

Marie was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Fountain, Jr. and brother, Randy Fountain.
