Betty Hunter Dumas

Betty Hunter Dumas went home to be with her Lord on February 1, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 12:00PM with the visitation beginning at 11:00AM at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, GA 31032, and the burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park. Pastor Chris Peavy will be officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jay's Hope, 1157 Forsyth Street, Suite B., Macon, GA 31201 or the donor's favorite charity. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas E. Dumas; parents Parker and Willie Mae Hunter; brother, Thomas Hunter; and great grandson Dylan Williams. She retired from the Macon Housing Authority in 1998. She loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed traveling, sports, gardening, cooking and sewing. She is survived by her children Doug and Ann Dumas of Macon, Pam and Jack Skinner of Gray, Larry Dumas and Ginger Martin of Macon; and Julie and Jeff Morris of Gray; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; sisters, Jean Carter, Nettie O'Quinn, Nina Beth Wigley, Ann White and Mary Alice Ross; brothers, Mac Hunter, Carol Hunter, A.P.
