Betty Sue Brown Carter

Betty Sue Brown Carter, 75, of Gray, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021.  The family will greet friends Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hart’s Jones County Chapel.

Daughter of the late Herman and Christine Herringdine Brown, Mrs. Carter adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.  She retired from The Keebler Company with 36 years of service.  Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Madison Carter, and siblings, Lorene Brown, William Herman Brown, Edgar Lee Brown, and Myra Brown.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her children, Kelly Carter, Julie Stewart (Richard), and David Madison Carter (Elizabeth), all of Gray; four grandchildren, Jobe Stewart, Wyatt Madison Carter, Lydia Carter, and Cullen Carter, all of Gray; sister, Patty Thompson of Twiggs County; and sisters-in-law, Diane Hoyal of St. Simons Island, Georgia, and Delbra Bowden of Macon.
