Bessie Hackler Chase

Bessie Hackler Chase, 76, of Gray, Georgia died Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 3:00PM at Haddock Baptist Church with the Reverend Ron McClung officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Haddock Baptist Church. A memorial service will also be held at a later date in DeQuincy, Louisiana. Mrs. Chase was a member of Haddock Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late J. Harvey Chase and the daughter of the late Frank Towers and Doris Nichols Hackler. Mrs. Chase was also predeceased by her daughter, Julie Adams Riley, her son, Gary Dean Adams, and her sister, Judith Harmon. She loved crocheting and watching hummingbirds outside her window. Mrs. Chase is survived by her son, Lawrence P. Adams, Jr. and daughter, Roxann Kennedy; granddaughters, Jennifer Whipple and Kasi Adams and other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Frank T. Hackler, Jr. and wife, Lindi; sister, Lorene Carlin and husband, Terrance Carlin. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Lady and Ruby. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
