Bess Parrish Beisner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008, after a brief illness in Macon. Mrs. Beisner was born in Pansey, Alabama on November 17, 1917, the daughter of the late Simon David Parrish and Leila Mae Glass Parrish of Thomasville, Georgia. During the course of her 62 year marriage to Col. (Ret.) Gerald Jean Beisner, she traveled extensively throughout the world and lived in many places, including Germany, Korea and Hawaii, as well as numerous places throughout the United States. As the wife of an Air Force officer, she made countless friends throughout the world and touched many lives. Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband and other survivors, including her daughters, Betsy Beisner Bunting of Nashville, Tennessee, Mary Beisner Istambouli of Macon, Bridget Beisner Bagley of Atlanta, and Arianne Beisner Keene of Ashville, North Carolina, as well as eight grandchildren: Dr. Gerald Williams, Sarah Istambouli, Wafa Istambouli, Hanadi Istambouli, Angela Istambouli, Andrew Bagley, Cameron Bagley, Weston Woodard, and three great grandchildren: Benjamin Williams, Katherine Williams, and Simon David Williams. The family will greet friends at a visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 21, 2008, at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Rd., Macon, Georgia.
