Benjamin Oro Horne, Jr.

Macon- Benjamin Oro Horne, Jr., 57, of 1544 Engle Drive, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with the Reverend Curtis Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00PM until 3:00PM on Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Horne, a graduate of Mercer University, received a Master's degree, cum laude, in social studies. He taught in public and private schools for sixteen years and coached baseball for twelve years. Mr. Horne was a member of the Sierra Club. Mr. Horne is survived by his daughter, Caitlin Elizabeth Horne of Macon; sister, Juan Driggers of Cochran, Georgia; nephew, Johnny Driggers of Cochran, Georgia.
