Ben Brannen

Ben Brannen, 71, passed away on August 31, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Macon Memorial Park with the Reverend Jeff Cook officiating. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 5PM to 7PM at Hart’s, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mulberry Street United Methodist Church 719 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201, or the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia, 774 Hazel Street, Macon, GA 31201.

Ben was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. He was an avid reader who loved history. He attended Lanier High School. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. Ben is predeceased by his father, Grover C. Brannen, Jr. and step-father, James Wilkes.

Ben is survived by his mother, Ann Brannen Wilkes of Macon; brothers, Bill (Debbie) Brannen, and Bob (Curry) Brannen, both of Macon; sister, Nancy B. (Chris) Kelley of Macon; nieces and nephews, Jason (Becki) Brannen of Macon, Rianna (Billy) Wade of Juliette, Elizabeth Kelley of Macon, and Joseph Kelley of Macon
