Barry Lamar Batson

Barry Lamar Batson, 75, of Macon, died Sunday, December 28, 2014. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Mikado Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Medcen Foundation, C/O The Children's Hospital, 858 High Street, Macon, GA 31201. Mr. Batson was a member of Mikado Baptist Church. He was retired Assistant Chief of Communications of the Fulton County Police Department. Mr. Batson was the son of the late John L. and Polly Batson. Mr. Batson is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Hall Batson of Macon; daughter, Cherry Lynn Brown of Macon; two sons, Rev. Dallas Michael Batson, Sr. (Tammy) of Blue Ridge, Georgia, and Chris Batson (Millie) of Griffin, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Register online at ww.hartsmort.com.
