Barbara A. Richardson Jackson

February 23, 1938 — October 27, 2011

Macon-Barbara A. Richardson Jackson, 73, passed away Thursday, October 27 2011. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola with Dr. Laudis H. Lanford officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 6:00-8:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road.

Mrs. Jackson was a native of Dooly County but lived most of her life in Macon. She was retired from Bank South of Macon. In 2006 she was the First Lady of the Grand Lodge of Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William Fred and Fannie Allen Richardson. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Dell Richardson and Lillian Irene Martin; one brother, James A. Richardson. She was a member of Centinary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, F. Ray Jackson of Macon; nieces and nephews, Ruth Sledge (Harris) of Byron, Marcie Burgess of Forsyth, William Martin of Fayetteville, James Keith Richardson of LaGrange, Terry Richardson of Forsyth, and Tracy Richardson of Nashville, Tennessee; great nieces and nephews, Nathan Sledge of Byron, Lori Coulter (Scott) of Byron, Jessica Richardson and Tony Richardson of LaGrange, and Matt Burgess of Orlando, Florida.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to United Hospice and to Pine Pointe Hospice for the kindness and loving care that was given to their loved one.
