Barbara B. Harper

Barbara B. Harper, 70, of Macon passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30am Monday, October 20, 2014 at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 1899 Tucker Road, Macon, with the Pastor David Brighton officiating. Mrs. Harper was born in Newport News, VA to the late Linwood and Ruth Archer Bunting. She spent her childhood in Newport News, moved to Macon as a teenager, and graduated from A.L. Miller High School in '62. Barbara dedicated her life to her family, friends, and a career as a 911 operator for the Macon Police Department. Her last wishes were to return to her birth place to rest in view of the Chesapeake Bay. Mrs. Harper is survived by three children: Kimberly Lynn Caldwell of Montezuma, GA; Joseph Stephen Harper III (Sabrina) of Fayetteville, GA; and David Lamar Harper of Macon, GA, six grandchildren, and brother: David Bunting (Sharon) of Maumelle, Arkansas.
