Barbara F. Eckert Brooks Hubbard

Barbara F. Eckert Brooks Hubbard, 83, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Cedar Ridge Cemetery, with the Reverend Scott McMillan officiating. A visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jones County Special Olympics, 111 Randolph St., Gray, GA 31032.

Barbara is predeceased by her husband, Julian Hubbard, Sr.; parents, Irving and Myrtle Eckert; and son, James Larry Brooks, Jr; sisters, Hulda Martinage and Bobbie Sparrow. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, planting in her garden and being outdoors. Her greatest wish to have a “house full of kids” came to be a reality through her loving children.

She is survived by her children, Marilyn Hubbard, Willie Hubbard (Sheila), Linda Kitchens (Randy), John Hubbard (Tina), Michael Hubbard (Nancy), Barbara M. Hubbard, Perry Hubbard, Jessica Hubbard (Michael) and Patti Hubbard; sister, Ernestine Smith (Lawrence); brother, Irving “Byrd” Eckert; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
