Barbara Jean "Bj" Roquemore

Barbara Jean “BJ” Roquemore, 75, passed away on July 27, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 1:00PM at Hart’s Mortuary, Cherry Street Chapel, 765 Cherry Street, Macon, GA with Pastor Tim Oliver officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street. Interment will follow the service at Macon Memorial Park. BJ was a founding member of United Community Church and was retired from American Office, where she was the top sales person for many years. She loved her family dearly and her pet, Andre. BJ also enjoyed her fish pond, working in the yard, hunting, fishing, and word search puzzles. She was a former member of Macon Women’s Sertoma Club.

BJ was preceded in death by two sons, Stacy L. Cofer and James Warren “Bubba” Roquemore; and her parents, John George Ryles and Dorothy Johnson Ryles.

BJ is survived by her husband, James Warren “Pete” Roquemore; son, Todd Cofer (Gayle) of Eatonton, Georgia; daughter, Lisa Bowden (Jack) of Macon, Georgia; son, Steve Roquemore (Jonni) of Macon; daughter, Debra Long of Macon; sisters, Patricia R. Wood (Tommy) of Juliette, Georgia and Linda O’Neal (Buddy) of Macon; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
