A.V. "Bill" Hammock

A.V. "Bill" Hammock, 91, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Reverend Sue Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park. Family will greet friends between 1:00-2:00PM before the service at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Bible Society, 1865 Broadway, New York, NY 10023-7505. Mr. Hammock was a member of The Well United Methodist Church (formerly known as Doles United Methodist Church) and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 67 years. He was retired from Georgia Power after working there 40 years. Mr. Hammock served our country in the United States Navy. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret H. Hammock. Survivors include his grandson, Robert V. (Carol) McFadden of Haddock, Georgia; granddaughter, Sheri (Bob) Kneip of Eatonton, Georgia; great granddaughter, Leighann (Kayla) Harless of Eatonton, Georgia; several nieces and nephews; and a long term caregiver, Randy Calloway.
