Audrey "Dale" Ross

Audrey “Dale” Ross, 78, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Riverside Cemetery, with Dr. Tommy Jordan officiating.

Dale was born and raised in Macon, Georgia, and was the daughter of the late James Jessie Ross and Mattie Tucker Ross. She was a graduate of Dudley Hughes High School and dedicated 42 years of service to BellSouth/AT&T, where she worked as an electronic technician.

Although Dale never had children of her own, she was a mother to everyone. She served as a Scoutmaster and shared her love of adventure with the young people in her care. She created many special memories with her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews, taking them on countless adventures and filling their lives with fun and excitement.

Dale had a big heart, not only for people but for animals as well. She dearly loved her dogs and was always taking in strays, giving them a safe place to call home.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Dale was preceded in death by her siblings: Darlene Leeper, Jean Proveaux, Nora Robbins, Pamela Ross, and Ronald Ross.
