A.R. "Buster" Cribb, Jr

July 4, 1942 — November 10, 2017

Following several TIAs, Primary Progressive Aphasia and years of Alzheimers A.R. "Buster" Cribb, Jr. surrendered and passed away, leaving this world on November 10, 2017. Buster had a positive impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him well. He was well known for putting the needs of others before his own. Buster had such a positive influence on all around him through his actions, deeds and that wonderful warm, caring, and witty personality of his. His wit and humor were infectious to everyone, young and old, around him. He was so easy going by nature; well, except when driving a car, at which time I suspect he may have even grown horns on occasion. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel at 1:00PM with Chaplain Scott officiating. Burial following the service will be held at Macon Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will greet friends on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, GA 31032. Buster was born on July 4, 1942 and was a member of Saint Peter Claver Church. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 23 years and was a graduate from Lanier High School. Buster was a big GA Bulldog fan and even a more avid Atlanta Braves fan, often taking his glove to the games with him in hopes of catching that rare foul ball. He was so very apt at building almost anything with wood. And, as with all endeavors, he strived for excellence in every project. He loved to build things with his hands. Buster's family will remember him most for being an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was happily married for 30 years to the love of his life, Mitzie Cribb. They shared a marriage that dreams are made of. He said respect for each others feelings was key in a good marriage and especially never allowing words to hurt one another. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Buster is survived by his loving wife, Mitzie Cribb of Gray, GA; daughter, Paige Soles (Bob) of Gray, GA; stepsons, Dr. Charles Nathan Webb (Dr. Erika Lentini) of Richmond, VA, Larry E. Webb of Gray, GA, James Andrew Webb (Tina) of Jeffersonville, GA; grandchildren, TravisWebb of Macon, GA, Taylor Callahan of FL, Dakota Soles of Gray, GA, Arlo Webb of VA; siblings, Carolyn Carnish, Linda Griner (Billy), Billy Cribb; brother-in-law, Gary Cheek of Cleveland, GA; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
