Anthony “Tony” Paul Newell

Anthony “Tony” Paul Newell, 64, of Haddock, GA, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021.   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Bradley Baptist Church.  The family will greet friends Monday, October 4, 2021, at Bradley Baptist Church from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Burial will be at Elam Memorial Gardens.

Son of the late Clifford E. Newell, Jr. and Annie Laura Taylor Newell, Tony was born on December 8, 1956, in Warner Robins, Georgia, at Robins Air Force Base. He lived in Haddock, Georgia and was a welder/fabricator for Elliott Machine Shop for 22 years until he had to medically retire. Tony was also an avid racing fan, mostly dirt track. He gave his life to the Lord 8 years ago and faithfully served his heavenly father and Bradley Baptist Church, where he was also a deacon since 2017. Tony was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Terry Lynn Newell Johnson.

Tony is survived by his wife, Rhonda Waits Newell of 34 years; 2 sons, Chad Alan Dichard (Kyrie) of Texas, and Dustin Newell (Melissa) of Georgia; 3 daughters, Stephanie Peck (Wayne) of Texas, Dixie Cameron (Shannon), and Crystal Hunnicutt (Scotty), both of Georgia; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Russell Newell; two sisters, Yvonne Day (Lee) and Tina Callaway (Felix), all of Texas; and many loving nieces and nephews.
