Annie Lou Wood Fountain

Annie Lou Wood Fountain, 86, of Macon, GA, died Monday, August 16, 2021. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel with the Reverend Jeff Duncan officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Ramah Cemetery, Gordon, Georgia.

Daughter of the late James and Laura Edna Maxwell Wood, Mrs. Fountain was a strong prayer warrior.  She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and retired from Cigna with 16 years of service.

Mrs. Fountain was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Augustus Fountain; daughter, Deborah Fountain Touchton; sons, Ronald Gene Fountain and Ernest Kenneth Fountain; grandchild, Levi Touchton; and siblings, Florence Cannon, Chester Wood, Luther Wood, and Robert Wood.

Mrs. Fountain is survived by her children, Carolyn Fountain Dowd (Lloyd) of Macon, Monty James Fountain (Denise) of Franklin, Georgia, Mary Fountain Skipper (Pete) of Headland, Alabama, Kathy Fountain Balkcom of Juliette, Georgia, Janice Fountain Canady (Kelly) of Dublin, Georgia, Kirby B. Fountain (Susan) of Gray, and Mark Ken Fountain (Tonya) of Gray; grandchildren, Susan Wilson, David Fountain, Tracey Gallman, Rebecca Coley, Paige Fountain, Ronda Long, Scott Fountain, Jay Touchton, Cliff Bryant, Les Bryant, Shane Fountain, Jereme Fountain, Kristy Bush, Kyle Skipper, Lauren B. Moran, Anna K. Amerson, Elizabeth B. Saxton, Adam Allen, John Allen, Emily Fordham, Kristopher Fountain, Chad Fountain, and April Foster; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Myrtie Wood Ashley of Twiggs County; and faithful sister-in-law, Margret Wood of Dry Branch.
