Annie Maudine Mccollough

Macon- Annie Maudine McCollough passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011. She was born in Randolph County, Alabama on September 21, 1917. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Lois Mote; sister, Mildred Seegar; her husband, J. P. Latham who was killed in military action in 1944; and her second husband, Carl L. McCollough of Pensacola, Florida. Maudine spent the early years of her career in Lineville, Alabama as a salesperson and administrator for Alabama Power Company. When she and Carl relocated to Florida, she enjoyed a long and successful association with Avon Cosmetics. Her outgoing and fun-loving attitude and sense of style and fashion was evident to all who knew her. She loved animals, and enjoyed football, baseball and ballroom dancing. Maudine was of the Methodist faith. She was a teacher and leader of The Concept-Therapy Institute. Maudine is survived by her son, James R. Latham and his wife Brenda of Macon, Georgia. Other survivors include her sister Lola McGarr of Phenix City, Alabama; Grandchildren Wade Latham (Stephanie) of Tampa, Florida and Rae Latham Foster (Matthew) of Pinehurst, N.C.; and two great granddaughters, Madelyn and Anna Kathryn Foster of Pinehurst, N. C. The family wishes to thank the staff at John Wesley Villas for the love and care they extended Maudine during her six years as a resident. Services and inurnment of her cremains will be at Barrancas National Cemetery-Naval Air Station-Pensacola, Florida.
