Tucker, GA- Annie Lou Joiner Shi, 94, of 3630 Winview Court, Tucker, Georgia died Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Due to a change in weather conditions, services originally scheduled at the graveside will be held in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11:00AM. Burial will be private. The Reverend Roy Smith will officiate. The family will greet friends at Hart's Mortuary on Saturday from 10:00AM until time of service. Mrs. Shi was predeceased by her husband, Trammell Foster Shi. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur, Ga. and a former member of Ingleside Baptist Church in Macon. She was one of the first women chosen to serve as a Deputy United States Marshall, but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was an active member of the Pine Forest Garden Club and worked in the church library at Ingleside Baptist Church. Mrs. Shi is survived by her daughter, Eugenia Shi Rucker of Tucker, GA; grandchildren, Michael Rucker, Nina Rucker and Lizzie Rucker, all of Tucker; sister, Wren Brantley of Tennille, GA; several nieces and nephews.
