Anne Hughes Pinson

Anne Hughes Pinson of St. Simons Island, formerly of St. Marys and Macon, passed away on March 14, 2022.

She was a graduate of Camden County High School where she was in the Beta Club and a cheerleader. She also lettered in basketball and was a former Miss St. Marys. Anne graduated from the Macon Hospital School of Medical Technology and was a medical technologist for the Macon Hospital and several local doctors. Anne was a devout Christian, and a member of several bible study groups. She was a member of St. Simons United Methodist Church and Sea Island Club.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Robinson Hughes, father, Charles Hughes, granddaughter, Martha Jane Pinson, and sister, Pat Wall. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Don Amerson Pinson; son, Don Hughes Pinson (Mary); granddaughter, Virginia Anne Pinson; grandson, Don Hughes Pinson, Jr.; and her sister, Catherine Blackburn (Albert).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the St. Simons United Methodist Church 624 Ocean Blvd St. Simons Island, Ga 31522, or the charity of your choice. Graveside Services will be private and will be held Sunday March 20, 2022, at Rose Hill Cemetery Macon, GA. The service will be officiated by Doctor Rick Lanford. A visitation will be held after the service from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the residence of Mary and Hughes Pinson 684 Richmond Hill Ct. Macon, Ga. 31210.
