Anne George Boyer Mckinley

Anne George Boyer McKinley passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210, Methodist Children's Home, 304 Pierce Ave, Macon, GA 31204 or Charity of choice. Born January 9, 1925 to Fernie and Annie Claude George of McRae. She moved to Milledgeville shortly after her birth. She attended Peabody High School and pursued her education at GA College where she graduated with a degree in education. She returned as a graduate student earning a Master's degree in 1981. Anne began her teaching career in Port St. Joe, FL. After her marriage to Julian McKinley, they moved to Macon. Her first position was Florence Bernd followed by, Alexander IV, T.D. Tinsley, Bruce, and finally retiring from Ingram-Pye. Anne immediately focused her retirement years with her church, UDC, DAR, Colonial Dames, grandchildren and playing Bridge. She served in almost every capacity at Ingleside UMC. The UDC and Cannonball House were her deepest love where she served as President for many years. She is survived her son, Julian C. McKinley, Jr. (Molly) Of Tampa, FL; daughter, Jo Anne M. Marshall (Broadus) of Macon; grandchildren, Will Marshall (Kate) of FL, Matthew Marshall, and Mac Marshall; great grandchildren, Parker and Elliott Marshall of FL.
